I’ve been working with Jess for just over 12months now and when I started I had major back issues.

She has worked on strengthening my core and overall fitness

Jess understands me and is sympathetic to my schedule that often requires flexibility.

What I enjoy most is her ability to push me beyond my comfort level, challenging me both mentally and physically.

I don’t always like the music but its a great place to workout and would recommend Jess to anyone that needs a motivated and  professional personal trainer

Jess was a coach at Urban Fitness in Wellington, New Zealand and undertook to be my PT during COVID lockdown.  Jess unselfishly gave up her personal time to coach me online at no cost, and we continued this partnership on a formal basis once ‘normality’ returned and restrictions were lifted.I approached Jess because I liked her coaching style and her personality.  I have scoliosis which is severe enough to warrant surgery.  The serious curve in my back has caused inbalances and wear and tear on joints resulting in a  hip replacement and the need for a knee replacement.  The combination of mobility and strength programming and Jess’ knowledge of exercise science gave me confidence to attempt movements I would previously have avoided.  My increased strength has seen me avoid surgery to date.  Urban Fitness members who attended the gym’s Metabolic Conditioning classes which Jess coached, commented on my mobility, strength and ability to lift heavy weights, heavier than people half my age.  I was 63 years old.I loved Jess’ honesty and sense of humour; there was always laughter in our sessions.  I highly recommend Jess as a Personal Trainer and only wish she was still here with us at Urban Fitness in Wellington, New Zealand.

I started PTing with Jess in Wellington late 2020 ostensively to get rid of the Covid kilos I’d put on. I’ve spent decades mentally battling my body to lose weight/get fitter but through the alchemy of sessions with her I discovered my body is my ally and as she’d regularly reassure me, I’m stronger than I think. Her support has been unwavering and I trust her 100%. I’ve gone from staggering home after each session and aching for days to walking the Tongariro Crossing this year (aching still featured there too though). Simply put, Jess is awesome, knows what she’s doing and has primo taste in music! My Spotify playlists are popping. Bonus.
